6.30pm arrival on the Friday due to outgoing camp!Coaches booked so far: Sarah Johnson will be our SJ coach Tori Peter has been replaced by Trevor English - Tori has had an international calling! Rachel Thompson will be our XC coach Jane Hussel will be our super generalist! Saturday workshop with Danielle Olding from SportHorse NLP: - Managing emotional states – nerves, aggression, fear, freezing in the saddle etc
- Competition preparation – mental rehearsal techniques, remembering dressage tests, show jumping rounds
- Dealing with self limiting beliefs and negative self talk
- Overcoming bad memories and phobias – ‘bogey fences’, ditches, steps etc.
- Dealing with distractions – worrying about what spectators think
- Setting goals and outcomes for your riding
- Managing motivation
- Riding more confidently
Notes about this camp: Nothing is posted out - we issue by email to reduce costs to you. Only by request do we post information out, please ask us to post info. Stable ready after stated time above, early arrivals will not get access to the stable block and will have to park on the right hand side of the yard. (This is a strict Somerford Park Policy). You can arrive earlier for the farm ride. This is a 6.5mile ride with jumps and a river crossing, you have to book this and pay the centre direct on 01260 299888. Please ring before coming as sometimes the ride is closed if wet. 2 disciplines per day included in the price, on Saturday and Sunday, choose from XC, Show Jumping or Dressage. (Same disciplines both days). Note that Cross country lessons may be switched to showjumping and are entirely dependant on the weather. This decision will be driven by Somerford Park Farm and is a safety issue. FREE Bailieys Aqua-Aide electrolyte at this Active Horsecamp. To learn more about Aqua-Aide click here Professional photographer Joanna Prestwich will be in attendance. (subject to her availability) Baileys Horse feeds holding 1-1's with riders and their horses, providing you with a personal feed assessment by a professional nutritionist. (subject to availability) 2 x FREE tickets will be drawn on the last day of this event for HOYS in 2010! Free Cyclo ssage massage for all horses and riders at camp Other specialists may be in attendance as well as course walks or other activitys, attendees will receive a pre camp email just prior to the camp to inform you of the activities etc. Somerfords own Haylage is included in your cost. Professional caterer on site providing hearty evening meals. We provide a basic sandwich or Jacket spud lunch (which is included in your cost). Guests are welcome to join us for pm dinner at £11 per pm meal. No on site tack room at Somerford Park Farm. 2 bales of shavings per stable. Extra shavings are sold on the Friday between the hours of arrival till 7.30pm. (At cost per bag at £6 per bale in 2010 - or bring your own extra - nb: please pay cash on request) Substantial jacket spud lunches available for a nominal £1 per day contribution in 2010 Depart by 4pm sharp on Sunday (This is a strict Somerford Park Policy).
